We strive to produce natural, safe and efficacious products through an environmentally responsible process to safe guard your home, family and our environment.
With dwindling natural resources and increase in the environmental cost of generating energy, the time has come for conscientious entrepreneurs to rethink their business models and the way they do business. Long gone are the days of the industrial revolution where everything was based on mass production, mass consumption, mass disposal and a singular focus on the bottom line.
Sterling natural science is the fulfillment of our decade long effort to rethink the way we manufacture, design and sell our products. Sterling brought together independent like-minded innovators to create a sustainable, cost effective business model that provides the consumer with a superior product at a very reasonable price with minimal environmental impact. Our core values continue to be social sensitivity, community service, responsible environmental stewardship and sustainable economic growth.
Sterling implements our third generation “closed circuit manufacturing” process that targets zero waste generation. The products developed by Sterling produce zero hazardous waste and are fully recyclable through out the life cycle of the product. We use recyclable plastic bottles for our products and, whenever possible, we use #2 HDPE bottles. We do not use polystyrene, or PVC containers. We ship our products in eco-friendly boxes that are manufactured with 40% post-consumer and 10% pre-consumer waste fiber. We also use 100% post-consumer packing paper.
We strive to only use manufacturing facilities that predominantly use renewable energy sources and we assist, free of charge, our manufacturing partners to install wind mills and/or solar panels on their premises. Out facility occupies less than 800 sq feet and to further reduce our footprint, we have all our senior management occupy one office. We attempt to use eco-friendly, socially responsible, suppliers for our raw materials and whenever possible we use local producers and manufacturers. All our products comply with the EU RoHS (European Union Restriction of Hazardous Substances) directives for elimination of lead, mercury, cadmium, hexavalent chromium, polybrominated biphenyls (PBB) or polybrominated diphenyl ethers (PBDE).
We continually provide our retailers and our customers with ongoing free training; educational seminars and we act as a clearing house for the ever increasing information and misinformation on product safety and efficacy.
Finally, we respectfully decline to place our product within venues that do not meet our standards of socially responsible business practices.
